Unit 24: PREPARING FOR A CAREER IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY

Portfolio https://will7773.wixsite.com/will-taher-portfolio Evidence- Using Wix I created a web portfolio, I used photoshop to create parts of the website. Other wise I simply organised the web site into different projects so it is easier to digest.

Unit 31- These were taking to show the journey as thai boxer and showed the essence of Ni Yai Muay Thai. This was my first ever proper shoot so I'm using it on the web site to show development of my photography. Unit 32- These were design packed made for app called MatchDayMe, this is most professional graphics I have made. This is a good advantage portfolio cause it shows diversity. Unit 35- This show my range to make interfaces and  at professional standard. This should show people looking at my portfolio how I look at user flow. 

Career Interests - My career Interest are to be a graphic designer, I would like to own my company. But this goal will mean work my way through different companies and making a name for my self in the industry. To start this journey I want to go university to learn about graphics in more depth before continuing to work in the industry. Qualifications and Skills needed for Career Interests -  At GSCE I have C in  english , maths and science this essesstinal to go any further in industry. I should finish College With a Merit in Level 3 Creative Digital Media and a C in A-level Photography. At University my dream would be to get a first in Graphic Art and Design. Portfolio Resources - For my portfolio I have a lot of work. As I worked as designer for year at Rottweiler Productions, the work I did here added to my freelance and personal projects will make up a decent sided portfolio. Work from one of my personal projects what was a rebrand for Chairsman's resever shows my diversity in my work as i haven't done a rebrand before. I also have a lot of photography what I will use from when I've done for my Alevel and as hobby.  Finance -  I've applied for a a student loan. I will get £8,000 as manentice  loan, after paying for my accommodations I will Have £62 left for food a week. However, as I have a part time job and can transfer to Leeds I will get £7.75 a hour work 16 hours a week on average, will give me a extra £124 a week. Personal Characteristics - To go forward in this career as Graphic Designer I will need to look at how I look at my self. These include things such as Motivation, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, Social skills (teamwork) and an eye for design. I believe that I already hold some of these traits and will strive to possess all of these. I feel that I am a very passionate person that always tries to complete tasks to the best of my ability, especially when it comes to media based tasks I believe that my enthusiasm helps me to overcome any problem that I could potentially encounter.
